Welcome to The Dorset Yarn Retreat - a space for knitters, crocheters and all yarn enthusiasts.
We offer a unique opportunity to indulge your passion for your hobby in a comfortable and attractive environment. Every month over a weekend, we invite you to stay and enjoy good food and comfortable accommodation.
The Dorset Yarn Retreat is a privately owned residence set within 7 acres of gardens, paddocks and woodland in Dorset, UK. We have a small flock of sheep that provide fleece for spinning, endless entertainment and snuggles.
Your weekend will be as busy or as relaxed as you desire.
Each month we offer workshops and activities, but you might also simply spend your days knitting by the fire, or under the shady apple tree. We would definitely recommend finding some time to introduce yourself to our woolly friends in the paddock though!
The Retreat is a space for knitters, crocheters and all yarn creatives to come and enjoy. We provide an escape, a pause from it all, in which to concentrate on your projects, learn new skills and share tips and stories with fellow enthusiasts.
Our motto is Slow Down, Knit More - we hope you can join us to do just that.
On the Horizon
Expect a warm welcome, a relaxed atmosphere and plenty of time to enjoy crafts you love. During your stay, you can take part in a changing programme of workshops and activities, share ideas with fellow makers or simply settle into a cosy corner with your knitting or crochet. With comfortable accommodation, delicious food and no pressure to follow a fixed schedule, the weekend is yours to enjoy at your own pace.
